After many discussions to gather all the crucial information we needed to get started, we focused on several main angles.

• The client wanted a custom Learning Management System to modernise their e-learning system. The client wanted the learning technology to be used to its full potential.
• The client wanted to create an online learning experience to close the learning gap in e-learning and make it analytical and more streamlined.
• To have MCQ questions as well as practice questions for assessments.
• To have 3 different Subscription packages integrated to the site.
• Creating specialised student portals for pilot training is crucial.

We created a social learning management system to improve engagement by using the expertise of our in-house LMS developers. After including the extensive list of features the customer requested, it was important to maintain the Learning Management System’s strength, usability, and engagement. The students were able to register for the desired subscription packages and make payments using the given payment gateway.

The registration process was made easy by giving students the option of registration via email, Google and Facebook. An automated test engine was inbuilt to create and conduct tests with automated evaluation. The students were able to save study notes and particular reference questions to be viewed for later use. Students can engage with mathematical, logical and video-based questions.

The whole design and development of the web application was carried out by the team at Web Lankan – one of the leading software development companies in Sri Lanka – with attention to detail. Laravel, PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Hosted in AWS environments with high infrastructure were applied and used appropriately for the betterment of the website.

Following this, Web Lankan gradually created the LMS website design and responsivity for the rest of the site. We guided the client in the appropriate route, so they could use e-learning technologies to break down the digital barrier. Their client base has steadily increased due to the successful LMS we created for them, which has a user-friendly layout and doesn’t require any special training or skills to utilise.
